2008-2009 Walker-Ames Lecture Series
The University
of Washington Walker-Ames fund was established in 1936 by a bequest from the
estates of Maud Walker-Ames and Edwin Gardner Ames. Since 1936, the fund
has been used to bring to campus many of the most outstanding scholars in
the academic profession. These scholars present lectures about their
respective fields of expertise and also work with groups of graduate
students during their stay.
All of this
year’s lectures will be held in Kane Hall. Admission is free and no
tickets are required. Please note that dates and times are subject to
change. Check back here two weeks prior to the lecture date for
updated information. For additional information, contact the Graduate
School by phone at 206.543.5900 or by email at
lectures@u.washington.edu.
